Since I have joined ranks with the unemployed, I find myself quite often gazing out the window located behind my computer desk. The window shows me visions of past, present and even some of the future. Staring through the shiny panes onto the freshly cut grass, eases my mind. It stimulates my thoughts to watch the birds nesting in the pear tree next to the window. Funny how nature can distract us from the problems that dwell within.
The problems this entire country faces is so extreme that simply staring though the window will not eliminate them one iota. However, as I look out upon the little piece of land where I reside, the vegetable garden in bloom, the scent of honey suckle whispering through the open window, butterflies busy at whatever butterflies get busy at, and the bees pollinating, I am reminded of one thing. FREEDOM!
I have been allotted the freedom to set and stare out the window if I so choose. Freedom that was established by our Founding Fathers, who worked diligently to preserve freedom for the American people and gave life to their works by placing their signature on the Bill of Rights the Constitution of the United States and The Declaration of Independence. Those articles mean a great deal to me, an American who gets teary eyed when I see an American flag flapping in the breeze. When I know I have the freedom to speak what I want to say without repercussions…sometimes, and the freedom to worship my God in the church of my choice. I have the freedom to travel anywhere in this great country I chose to travel, the freedom to spend that which I earned, and drive the car that I elect to drive, should I be able to afford that car. Freedom to purchase the items of my choice at the grocery store, and freedom to raise my children in a school system that gives them accurate history lessons that will elaborate on the reality that our country was founded under One God and One God only. Schools that will not shun the Pledge of Allegiance or The Lords Prayer in favor of those who are sitting in the classroom from another culture or religion. After all, this is America and the immigrant knew before entering our country, that we were founded under Christianity. They should also know the significance of the American Flag. If I want to bow my head in prayer and salute my honorable flag, the immigrant has the right to remain silent. However, our own American government has given rights to the immigrant, legal and illegal, that esteems their privileges far above those of the natural born citizens. In today’s society, schools are not allowed to say a prayer or the Pledge before classes commence. The ACLU will have people arrested for praying in public, something as simple as a prayer before a meal could land us in jail.
Jesus Christ and the American Soldier are the only men who have ever given their lives for our freedom. When I pray it is in the name of Jesus, and when I place my hand on my heart to say the Pledge of Allegiance, it is in honor and respect for those who preserved my freedom to do just that, often losing their own lives. Therefore, I will continue serving my God foremost, and respecting that dear old red, white and blue.
Our freedom is being attacked by the Federal Government. Due to the radical examples of different cultures and different gods in some of the national religions that made their way into our country, my freedoms are being relinquished.
Welcome them we must…because that is the American way, but in order to welcome different cultures into the country I call home, must I give up my own culture, my own beliefs and my freedom as well, in order to satisfy theirs?
In the last two years, with an Administration in office that in many opinions, supports the very ideals of those who relishes the notion of taking away the Liberties and freedoms of the American Nation. The very men who were willing to die themselves to show honor to their god through the lives of 3500 Americans are being recognized as hero’s through the building of an Islamic Mosque on Ground Zero. The Islamic nation believes that by building the Mosque it denotes an egotistical victory…on their part.
The very name of God is under attack from every possible angle. Students in several states have been expelled for carrying a Bible into the classroom. The Ten Commandments have been ripped from the halls of Court Houses across our beloved country.
The President bows deeply to the King of Iran, yet shuns the Prime Minister of Israel, our only allies’ in the Middle East. The children of Israel, if I remember my Bible Stories correctly, were the very people, as stiffed necked as they were, of which God opened the Red Sea so they could pass through to the promise land. He was with the people of Israel and assisted them in their many battles. He chose them to be His people. Seems the President is bowing to the wrong king…in my estimation.
The National Prayer Day was eliminated this year and the President referred to the prayer day as an “event” that was not necessary since people could spend a few private moments in silent prayer.
The President promises that he will pass a “don’t ask, don’t tell” law. He also openly announced to a meeting with the group GLSEN, which is a homosexual group, that he supports marriage between two men or two women.
So far, it seems that what used to be wrong, is taking a strong light in society. Can this uncomely attitude by an American President be stopped? Of course it can. We began our separation from an Un-Christian Administration by eliminating the Liberal stronghold. Vote out the Congress and Senators who give the strongest support to the wiles of the Administration. We can do that in November, 2010.
Mother’s and father’s, teach your children the importance of knowing on onset of our country. Teach them the Pledge of Allegiance, giving them the privilege to recite it in the manner of which it was intended. As follows:
"I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,And to the Republic, for which it stands, One Nation under God, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for ALL".
In God we Trust, will soon, unless we stop the action, be taken off the United States currency.
The ACLU, never confirmed by the U.S. government, yet sleeps with the Congress and Senators, changing laws that affect the citizens of this country, to honor their own non-belief in God Almighty.
What is to become of the generation that will fill our space here on planet earth? These little children are the very ones that our hearts should go out to, the ones we need to pray for. Their ability to learn history about our Founding Father’s is being ripped from the school books. Reading, Writing and Arithmetic is not of interest to the youngster in the classrooms, their minds are being programmed to accept that which is obvious…a Liberal State of Mind. A one World order with a Socialist Agenda. To follow the ideals of a Socialist President who believes children should be taught about homosexuality, and partner with someone of their own sex if they so desire. Kevin Jennings, appointed by President Obama, to oversee the curriculum of the Public School System throughout the country, is a self-proclaimed homosexual, the founder of the GLSEN group, and has in fact, visited schools with tools and manuals on hand-to encourage children as young as nine years old, to become involved in homosexual activity.
---And yet, praying and saying the Pledge of Allegiance is prohibited.
Wishing all of you a safe and happy Fourth of July. God bless you, and God Bless the United States of America.
