A Tea Party event was scheduled to take place at Hyatt Place in Sugarland, Texas recently. The guest speaker was to be Pamela Geller, founder of Atlas Shrugs. Upon arrival, Ms. Geller was informed that a “business” decision had been instituted, and the party would have to move their meeting elsewhere.
CAIR-Council on American-Islamic Relations is known to be a part of Islamic terrorist groups which include Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. They have been judged in federal court for funding terrorism.
Without notice the meeting was cancelled by the American Hotel. Who prompted, perhaps the manager of the establishment, or even the Hyatt Headquarters to cancel the meeting. Was there possibly a threat involved that instilled fear? It would not be out of the norm for the radical group CAIR to threaten someone who may expose them, more so than they have already been exposed. Pamela Geller is the person with the verbal ammunition to do just that. You can find her at atlasshrugs.com
WND reported that they notified the company to get answers as to why the event was cancelled. The spokesperson gave this reply; (copied from WND) Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land respects the various opinions expressed by our guests and visitors. In this particular situation, the changing security needs required for the safety of our guests and others on the hotel property and to avoid business disruption prompted us to ask the organizers to move it to an alternate location. We are pleased that the organizers were able to identify a venue better equipped to provide services to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved with the event.

Wait just a minute…first sentence, If Sugar Land Hyatt respect the various opinions expressed by their guest and visitors, why then was the event cancelled? Ms. Geller was going to express her opinion…so, go to the last sentence, “ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved with the event.” Does this sound like double-standards, or what?
The First Amendment allows Americans the Freedom of Speech…right? Then who is it, eliminating the First Amendment rights of Ms. Geller. Was it in fact a “business” decision made by the Hotel committee, or was the decision forced on the Hotel Hyatt Place in Sugar Land, Texas by the terrorist supporting group CAIR?
Robert Spencer at Jihadwatch.com believes that CAIR is conducting a campaign toward anyone that stands up against Islamic beliefs. There are many Islamic groups in America who will also strike against those who do not believe. Regardless of which group it may have been, it is obvious, considering the fear factor placed on Hyatt Place and its employees, that someone from one of the groups, no doubt CAIR, and gave out a warning. Hyatt Place refuses to answer questions concerning the issue.
The supremacist organization, CAIR is a Leftist group, who supported Barrack Hussein Obama when he was campaigning for the presidency. CAIR and other Islamic groups have set out to destroy the First Amendment, most likely using scare tactics. It is important to stand strong as an American and protect the freedom of speech. That is a lesson learned quite well from Pamela Geller and the Tea Party, who without delay moved their event to another location when they were expelled from the Hyatt Place in Sugar Land, Texas.
I will follow Ms. Geller’s lead. I will never spend another dollar for a room at Hyatt Place, regardless of their location.
